Welcome In Fresh Hues

As the intense heat of July comes to an end and we usher in August we may already be seeing clues of Summer’s end. Here in the Catskills the chicory is blooming aside the backroads and the nasturtiums are preparing their last hurrah of vermillion blooms. Thoughts of unearthing favorite warm toned sweaters and soft blankets are beginning to swirl around like autumn leaves in our minds even if just for a moment. We thought adding a few new colors to our collection might help set the mood for richer, more cozy color pallets while still soaking in all the last vibrant delights of Summer.

AThe first of our three new colors we call Golden Rod. Its cheery and radiant yellow is reminiscent of those drawn out August evenings where fields of hay and Golden Rod glow for hours and hours before sunset. This bold yellow pairs well with our Wild Plum for summery splashes of color at hot August pool parties but also pairs well with our Antique for a quaint table setting amidst squash soup and sourdough when the air gets nippy. This color is sure to carry Summer’s warmth into Autumn while balancing seamlessly against the cooler tones of the season’s change.
ANext; Rhubarb, a strong and cool toned red. Evoking memories to last through every season of early Summer harvesting the hearty stems for Strawberry Rhubarb pies shared with family. But much like the plant this color endures through the heat of July and August well into the colder months. Towards the end of Summer everything seems about to burst with contrasting color. The soil is rich brown, the foliage is the greenest you’ll ever see and fruits are plump and dark. The ideal Summer into Fall pallet always feels most complete with a pop of cranberry red alongside earthy browns and greens (think: Espresso, Antique and now Rhubarb!).
ALastly, we want to leave you with the hope for the year to come. Spring Green is a bright shade of green that embodies all the joy of sun splashing across fresh spring grass. This color rings with such bliss no matter the weather and is a perfect token of sunshine any time of year. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous Spring Green could even be a delightful and unexpected substitute for more traditional green shades during the holiday season! We’re so excited dreaming of the interesting little vignettes all of our green lovers could set up with yet another variation of green added to our mix.

AWe hope you enjoy incorporating these new colors into your last Summer shenanigans and find cozy spots for them for months to come!
